Fish out of water in The Kid Used To Dream

I had the opportunity to be invited to an awards show this week. It was pretty cool. Got to sit next to some pretty famous people. I think I made a fool out of myself one time during the show. There was a lady sitting next to us that plays in a band is pretty famous. I was like, I saw you once like 30 years ago. And it was almost like she looked at me and said, so what?.. oh well. Kudos for me for trying to be a great guy.

The category I was nominated for didn’t win. But it was cool - the band that won is awesome.

The show made me realize I might be on the wrong end of trying to make this dream happen. I have been on stage with a lot of the people who were the headliners for the show over the years. Some of them remembered me some of them acted like they never seen me before. But that’s show Business right?

It must be a miserable existence to act like everyone is beneath you. On my way home I get a message that some prick from my hometown a took to social media and called me by name to bash be. Although it was pretty hilarious. Folks that know me jumped in and tried to take up for me… I think that was actually better than winning the award lol.
