Fuel to the dumpster fire that is life.

Scrubbing out the cat boxes last night I saw the horrifying image of tape worms squirming around out of a log. Worms and maggots and squiggly things freak me out hardcore. Kinda the reason I didn’t like fishing with my papa. I’m not an insect/wriggly/slimy critter guy.

Anywho, I really have to stop letting Smokey run around outside for a few hours at night but if you aren’t paying attention that fucker is FAST out the door. The claws come out when/if you try to heard him back in so it’s best to just let him go cat around for a bit.

Luckily the vet ($$$ they gotta be loving us lately $$$) was able to squeeze us in for an appointment today. They did a stool sample (he was NOT happy) and passed on some flea and tick meds as well as dewormer. When combined they act as an excellent deterrent so that’s good. The new vet is kinda cute. 😉

Proud to say that Rosie is walking around a bit but has lost a noticeable amount of weight. I need to brave it, pick a day and have her put down. It’s harsh to put it that way but I know she’s not happy and in pain.
