I’m sleeping in/staying up too late again. Oh well, extra hour of daylight. Got groceries today. Made chili and mom turned it into Frito pie. She got the idea from an episode of Pioneer Woman and it cane out pretty damn good. I had two bowls and had to talk myself out of a, though smaller, third.

She had dinner with my brother and his gf yesterday so I had the house to myself. Ended up cooking myself a steak sandwich and cleaned while she was out. Listened to some jazz standards as I went, dancing around like a fool. If I was still a drankin’ man I would have been energetic drunk when she came home. Before, that is, the alcohol really takes hold and makes me sloppy drunk. But I’d excited about everything and want to show people stuff or have a conversation and be besties. Yeah, I can be that drunk person.

I’ve fired up the PS3 and have been playing Assassin’s Creed 1. A bit dated in graphics and the combat is as slow as I remember but it still holds up gameplay wise. I just miss going balls to the wall with combat in later games ESPECIALLY in Valhalla what with going all berserker viking ‘n’ shit.

Found The Princess Academy by Shannon Hale sitting on a pile of books. Kids novel ma found at a thrift store. It’s cute, I really liked it! It ends with the prince picking someone he already knows and all the girls going back to the village with an education so they decide to open an academy there and teach the quarrymen how to read. I’ve now started Alien: Out Of The Shadows by Tim Lebbon. Turns out I’ve read one of his Star Wars books and I remember liking it. 🤷‍♂️

Mom is getting about somewhat better.
Advil is a gracious savior.
Speaking of…I need to get more tomorrow as well as my scripts filled. Oh joy, being crazy is costly.

Seriously, get really stoned and watch a few episodes of this. You’ll laugh your ass off at the wholesome absurdity of it.

I finished the first Alien book. It wasn’t bad. Author Tim Lebbon took GREAT liberties with the timeline between the first and second film. Plus having Ellen Ripley show up the way he wrote…eh, it could have been a stand alone book with no connection to the Sigourney Weaver films at all. There are two more to read. Got them as a set at Ollie’s Discount Bargain Outlet aka a junk store. Mindless pop fiction, easy reads so they’re easy to enjoy.

Laying on the heating pad again. I’m not hurting anymore, it just feels nice. 😎

The real question is…do I go to sleep now and get up this afternoon or just trudge through the day and sleep tonight? I AM very comfortable right now…nothing hurts, I’m relaxed, a bit tired. I did plow through most of that book in one sitting so mentally I do feel a bit fried....

Yeah, I think I’ll sleep. Catch y’all several hours later! ✌️
