I’m about to scoop out my damn eye with a melon baller. The twitch will not cease! The right eye, lower right corner. The skin will spasm and it feels SO weird (and very annoying.) Give me a razor blade or a scalpel!
So yes, removing the eye wouldn’t do anything as I’m sure that nerve or muscle or whatever would still twitch.
