I have definitely been "letting off some steam" with alcohol to counteract the extra stress. I recommend going to tutoring and sitting at the desk for hour on end, no social media, no phone, tell your friends and family it's shut-down, shut-off and study time for your's truly. And yes, there is a reason people drink in studying disciplines like math and science. Not too much, though. My buddy from from my early college years ended up with a severe case of alcoholism getting his masters in BioChem. I had a some extra time a little earlier this semester where I drank most of 3 days and smoked cigarettes and actually lost 5-8 pounds which I have been trying to lose for over a year now. Stress is a terrible factor in health and well-being.

Good luck!
