Night Shift by Stephen King
Side Jobs by Jim Butcher
The Cobra Strain by Richard Preston
Zone One and Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead
The Devils Boneyard by William W. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone

6 total for the month.
13 for the year.

The King book has the short story The Last Rung On The Ladder. That story was heart breaking.

The Butcher book is Harry Dresden short stories.

Cobra Event is a man made biological disaster story.

Zone One is a zombie apocalypse book but not how you think. Instead of the chaos you get in other media this was more stream of consciousness. The protagonist is usually lost in memory of what has become of his home, New York. Heartbreak moment is the part where he met another survivor, a female. They lived together for months till one day she did a supply run and he never saw her again.

Harlem Shuffle is about an “honest” furniture store owner in Harlem. Three stories of how he was involved in a crime plot.

Devil’s Boneyard, another campy western.

Wow thats quite a reading list. I wish I was more of a reader like I once was years ago.

I haven't been watching TV lately. Same channels, same programming. I need different entertainment. Plus it's relaxing.

I read The Night Shift way back in high school.

I've only read a small batch of King's work but I find his short stories entertaining. His novels (especially the ones where he was coked up more than Sigmund Freud) are really strange in some parts.
