Summer Feelings in The Stuff That's Not Interesting But Is The Most Interesting Stuff I'll Write

I don’t want to say I turned over a new leaf, which would not be accurate because I went to another one of those insane sex parties, but I’ve become much more selective about who I socialize with.

A series of bad dates will do that, and I finally realized that I didn’t want to look at my past in the future the way I look at my past now. I have to start having different relationships with the way I look at relationships which means I have to change my way of thinking.

It hit me hard one night when Good was playing unsociable and taciturn again. I finally realized that I had hit my threshold, I am a fucking adult and I only want to deal with adults in my life. So on New Years, I went through and booted about 400 people off my Instagram and said to myself, reciprocity. If you’re not going to pay attention to me, I’m not going to pay attention to you.

It’s been 3 and a half weeks and so far, it’s actually worked out really well.

Someone said that I had a “unique resolution”. I don’t think that’s a very good way to describe it because the resolution makes it sound like something I resolved to do because of the New Year, which barely registered with me, if I’m being honest. It was more like I hit a breaking point because of all the stupid shit that happened in such quick succession.

I still have to celebrate my birthday, and by that time I’ll be in my summer feelings.
