Dissertation - Plato’s Search for Justice and the American Criminal Justice System

Justice in an individual reflected the soul; justice in
society reflected the structures of society (Clute, 2006; Plato, 1901).

Virtue means the health of the soul, and therefore, justice must
strengthen the soul (Clute, 2010; Plato, 1901). Justice must be virtuous (Plato, 1901).
