Today’s Update:

The survey company called me this morning when I was barely ready to speak to the world after waking up. They let me know that they talked to the survey manager and planning committee dude again. The first proposal I sent in should be good but it’s not 10000% until we go to the planning committee meeting at the county office.

The people at the survey company also want to meet us out on the property on Oct 12th to see where the house placement is so they can update their maps as best they can and to get an understanding of what the lines will look like. We need our draft as finely polished as possible to present to the planning committee. Even if we have the perfect draft, we still have to go in front of the planning committee because the split is under 5 acres. Not sure when the meeting will be held but we at least have some time to get more of the stuff in order. And hopefully have our platt restrictions from the environmental office back by then. (fingers crossed)

I called the title company that closed on our property. They say we need to go to a real estate attorney to get a maintenance agreement and easement drafted up prior to the planning committee meeting. A maintenance agreement basically states that both parcels will be responsible for maintaining the driveway and have access to the driveway. They recommended a lawyer and we have an appt Oct 2.

Things are moving.
