Today marks the end of the first week of my diet. I've done really well on it and only cheated once (and I worked out after I did anyway).

Basically, I've been doing 30 minutes of cardio (brisk walk) and having around 800 calories a day. The plan I'm currently on calls for 1,200 minimum (without an exercise) and calls for an increase of calories based on how many calories I've burned. So if I did my 30 minutes of cardio (which at my weight burns about 550 calories) then my minimum calories I should be taking in is 1,750 or more. However, I'm eating 5 times a day and am reaching about 900 or less.

Daily Routine

Wake Up, Within 30 Minutes Do Daily Burn Workout
Wait An Hour and Eat Breakfast
Wait 4-6 Hours Eat Lunch
20 Minutes of Cardio While Watching Television
Wait 3-5 Hours Eat Dinner (Pre-Planned)
An Hour Before Bed, Eat a Snack
20 Minutes of Cardio Right Before Bed

Right now, my body burns about 2,750 from rest a day. I try to do a calories in and a calories out type of diet. Where I work as much or more off than what I eat which is super easy at my weight since I burn so much from everything and it comes out to about 5 pounds a week at my current weight. I track all of my calories and look at how much a should be eating but I never eat enough to do that many anyway. I could be eating a lot more but I just eat enough to make myself not hungry anymore.

This week has taught me an awful lot and after going grocery shopping yesterday there are some things that I do plan on changing starting tomorrow.

With the grocery shopping, I also have light butter, mayonnaise and whole grain bread, pasta and Brown Rice. But by my math if I'm burning 4,000 calories a day (2,750 from just breathing and then 1,200 from workouts) and consuming about 900 calories a day then I'm burning 21,000 a week I should lose 6 pounds a week. I could always lose more or less but 6 pounds is a lot and I know that that won't stay that way. I'm burning a lot of calories just breathing and from cardio due to the fact that I am so heavy and having 200 pounds of weight to carry about extra from the average person will burn more. Once I have dropped some weight I will need to do more exercise to burn the same amount. But 50 pounds in 8 weeks doesn't sound too bad a start.
