1 C Low sodium soy sauce:
1/2 C Brown sugar:
3 Garlic cloves minced: Fresh!
2 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar:
2 tsp Sesame oil:
1 tsp Freshly grated ginger:
1/2 Pineapple Juice: Fresh is best, you want the sweetness.
2 tsp Water: You will want to use cold water to mix better with the cornstarch.
1 tsp Cornstarch: This will thicken the sauce to the most ideal consistency.

Heat ingredients over medium heat till it begins to simmer. Premix cornstarch and water while simmering. When the sauce has begun to simmer, add in the thickener. If your sauce is not thick enough, make another cornstarch slurry and repeat.

This sauce is VERY high in sodium. Use very sparingly over meats.

I can never get my shit to thicken with cornstarch. It never works and it takes forever. I hate cooking with that crap! I usually just make a sauce that is thin. La. It's a Chinese dipping sauce of spy sauce, fish sauce, green onion, cilantro, chili peppers and sometimes garlic. It's so tasty to drizzle on meat and veggies.
