“If I can survive Calc III, I can survive Smolov.”
Been saying to myself that I’ll run smolov jr next year to bring up my squat. Because bigger squat = bigger deadlift. And we know how much plates on the bar help validate physical and emotional inadequacy. ; ) (The sarcastic way of saying we lift to feel good about ourselves and give a middle finger to negative feels.)
It’s the emotional fortitude to stick to things. This year has proven I can stick to lifting. Smolov jr is a 3 week cycle, so I thought I’d do that. For some reason, I thought Smolov proper was 28 weeks.
Nope, just a reasonable 13. I can do that.
Four plates before 40.
It’s a goal.

I survived Calc III (and even linear algebra), but I've got permanent brain damage because of it.
I can't do squats - knees, ya know.
