When you were so very pregnant and I was still reeling, sitting in the coffee shop over a shared cookie, you comforted me with the idea that one day we’d watch our children run and play together.

This Shabbat I watched our sons hold hands and spin together, dancing round and round to the sounds of the service.

Back then, it felt like everything had been lost. Now I can’t imagine it any other way.
