Rosacea. in Whey and Sonic Screwdrivers.

I’m just assuming this will go away eventually. The google-fu that doxycycline hyclate is used to treat rosacea, well. Eye doctor(s) today suspect rosacea. At least I’ll be going from 100mg twice a day to once a day. The side effect of blurred vision is real.
What a contrast to last November, when I was in twice a week or check-ups. My next appointment is in two weeks.
Eyes aside, the nurse technicians noted that my face is looking a lot better.
With sustained sobriety, it’ll be nice to have clear eyes and a decent face again. I’m hoping the necessity for meds eventually fades.
Hrm, thought I had more to say. It’s nice to be seeing better, and see myself looking better.
I sooo made the joke to the receptionists, “It is nice to… see you.” I’ve avoided the joke so far, as it seems too obvious, but I got a chuckle out of them. I’ve been there often enough that they know me by name.

Glad they are figuring it out. By the time they diagnosed my ocular rosacea, they felt like I have probably had it for over 20 years. Only previous symptom was dry, burning eyes. I have a white spot on my cornea that was caused by a blood vessel growing into my cornea and then leaking a bit. If it leaks again they want to cauterize it. Who knew so many things could go wrong with an eye!
