Wheeee in Everyday Rants...

Well, we’re still slow at work. But, we’re starting to get more in from the factory, so that’s a plus.
Over the weekend, I did have a couple dreams about BL, but they were oddly bland. Lots of very mundane tasks in generic locations with generic conversations. We were joking around about various things, and it seemed we were really good friends. I got a couple of hugs, but was really pretty realistic. I’m actually glad it was bland, nothing really memorable. Those kind of dreams are actually tolerable, and don’t leave me drunk dizzy and overwhelmed by them. And, it’s nice to see her in an actually plausible situation, that doesn’t break my heart. I dunno, maybe I’m just normalizing the whole being back in contact with her after… how long ago did she get back in touch? I can’t complain.
I don’t remember the specifics, but I had a dream where I was working with the my co-worker B, but not on work stuff, it was more like renovating an old house. At one point we go to an upstairs dining room, and I know I’m walking up to surprise someone I know, and I finally walk into the room and it’s SJ (elderly neighbor’s son from back home) and his family. That’s twice in recent memory I’ve seen SJ. No idea why, currently.
Monday wasn’t too great. I only had a couple of jobs, but by the end of the first one, I felt like complete shit. As I told R, I felt like I’d been suckerpunched off the top of a 20 story building. I finished the last job, came home and crashed. I watched a little YT, fell asleep on the couch for an hour or so, then went to bed. Tuesday wasn’t much better. Did my work, then came around 2pm, and laid in the bathtub for couple of hours.
Today went better, to be honest. I only had a little bit of work… okay… so it was stupidly simple. The employee at one of our commercial customers thought the roll up door didn’t have any safety controls on it, cause she was used to her garage door at home having those stupid little eyes across the bottom. This is one of those big ones that coils up when it opens, and the rubber edge on the bottom IS the sensor. So I started it closing and smacked the bottom of the door, and it pinged back open. I know it’s mean, but I do kinda love it when I prove a customer wrong in 5 seconds and they get that “I’m a dumbass” look.
Have I mentioned I’m an asshole?
When I got back, R had printed me out some charts so I could finally get list of what we have laying around the shop so that we can sell it. I’ve got 3-1/2 of the 7 racks charted. I worked on that from about 11am till 4:30pm. I’m hoping to have the rest of it done tomorrow. H also wants a copy for tax purposes. All I can say, is I hope once the list gets copied and distributed to me and the other sales guys, we can get this crap sold. I wasn’t the only one working on organizing. 3 other techs were working on other projects, and it’s already looking nicely different. All I can do is hope beyond hope that once we get all this crap sorted, inventoried, and sold, the owner doesn’t go out and fill our open spaces with more useless shit. Thankfully, we’re able to get rid of shit too.
Cross your fingers. We need all the luck and help we can get on this one.
