George and I both went to see our primary care doc yesterday. He needed to get referrals to the UCSD surgical team and therapy. I have had a pressure sore since the first nursing home. He had also printed out all the hospital reports when they rebuilt his hand and wanted her to have them.

She, when asking when we met, mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary.

We hadn’t notice. Not at all. Both of us nursing our illnesses and pain had been paying no attention to the happenings around us. Our 38th anniversary. We had a little party at the doctor’s office, and were still in celebration mode when we got home. Today we discovered that we were off a day, but that didn’t faze us at all. Imagine, 38 years.

  • Himself: One way to diminish pain is to line the foam sling with soft terrycloth towels.
  • Myself: I came home to a donut.
  • Reading: The new Perry.
  • Watching: National Geographic
  • Photo: 2002 Minneapolis.
  • Gratitude’s: That today is lighter and brighter.
