The days go by too fast right now. Lots of things just get let go. With our doctor’s service hacked, one easily forgets how slow the world ran when it functioned on paper not computer. He needs to get a referral from our doctor, and I need to get an appointment. They will call me back, they say.

In the meantime, he gets his coffee and I get my bread then breakfast for both of us. Did I say I’m such a slob? After I put together something for lunch and dinner, I leave the kitchen in total chaos. He used to be so good about doing the dishes every night, but I am not. Yes, I wash the clothes then they sit in piles hither and yon. I confess, we end up with piles on every floor.

Today the kitchen has the covers for the white footstool soaking in the sink. I spilled grape juice on them.

Today we are fed, and I am determined to hang up the laundry, and to put the dishes in the dishwasher. Small routines that I will once again remember to do. I hope. I’m determined not to serve grilled cheese sandwiches for both lunch and dinner.

  • Himself: Called Scripps, called UCSD, called the doctor for a referral, and now is playing solitaire . He has won 14,392 games in a row without losing one.

  • Reading: JA JANCE out of order.
  • Watching: KPBS:
  • Photo: 2013, at dinner.
  • Gratitude’s: That G has his hand.

Yes, we are all grateful that G has his hand. 👋🏻

So grateful. Hugs to you both.

Surely 14,392 must be a world record!!

One must go with the flow. My prayerful thoughts are with you both as you find new normals.

I think getting you both fed is the most important part - the piles will still be there. Grilled cheese sounds wonderful, and you can change it up: add ham. Add red pepper jelly. Add apple and turkey. You're doing great.

I can’t stand my kitchen to be messy but sadly I am much more tolerant of mess other places in the house. :-( I really need to fix that .
So glad G. Is mending and you are doing pretty well :-)

I'm sure the cover looked better with grape juice on it anyway. I could eat grilled cheese sandwiches for three meals every day.

Well to my knowledge no-one ever lay on their deathbed and said I wish I’d spent more time putting clothes away :)
And wow I’m impressed with that Solitaire run!
