I’m back with mine.
SO… my memory is terrible but I feel like 2019 is when I met this woman.
She sells TLC products (detox teas, energy pills, etc.). And I think I first was just buying the stuff from her and it DID work in the beginning. The detox tea DID make me poop and I lost like 12 lbs in a month no matter what I ate and it seemed like a dream come true but then the weight loss kinda stalled but I blame myself for not following any diet plan.
I still used and liked her product the rest of the year. Some of the products have CBD in them and I know that’s not the THC weed stuff so I didn’t get “high” off them but the detox tea did keep me regular. I also like the nutraburst vitamin drink. It’s not the best tasting - they try and make it taste like a juice. But I liked the ideas of getting all those vitamins in a small cap sip.
She let me know that she was a certified personal trainer and we started to meet up at a Planet Fitness between us both but it was sporadic. Maybe 2 times a week cause it’s not free… and since I was mainly still eating like shit I didn’t experience much weight loss but I was building muscle and stamina.
Plus we were becoming friends. She’s that friend that always has a story to tell. She’s very friendly and she used to be obese herself so I felt like she really understood how I felt. She never made me feel like I wasn’t trying hard enough cause she knew how it felt to exercise at 300lbs.
Her backstory is that she had a bestie who was also obese. That friend had WLS (I don’t know which kind) and developed a blood clot and died. So that motivated her to lose weight on her own and she lost 100lbs with exercise and the TLC products. And then became certified to become a person training.
So she is still around 200lbs but a personal trainer with energy like you wouldn’t believe.
SO 2019 we worked out together a lot in the gym and then in the fall/winter I kinda fell off but it was really due to work. Yes I was dragging my feet about exercising especially since I wasn’t really seeing BIG results but work got hectic (in a good way with donations) around the holidays and I just kinda cancelled on her.
Then Covid happened in 2020 and gyms closed etc. It wasn’t till spring or summer that she proposed doing online exercising and we did . It was really good cause I was happy not to travel to the gym at like 6am.
I did tell her I was going to get WLS and she was against it. I understand, her best friend died after it! I think during these online sessions she really tried me to get to lose so much weight that I didn’t feel I needed the surgery but it didn’t work. Mainly cause I didn’t have the energy to work off as much as I was eating. When I did intermitten fasting while working out I did lose some weight but I never stick with anything and on the weekends me and Will were eating like it was our LAST MEAL every night so the I couldn’t combat my own calories.
Then I got the surgery in Dec 2020 and was afraid to jump around. At around the time that I was cleared to exercise Will got his surgery and he was living in the living room - where I usually exercise so I couldn’t do it then either.
But now Will is a month out - totally fine - and when she contacted me to restart the video lessons, I said OK.
She’s going to gyms, her kid is in school, so she was trying to get me to go to the gym but I was like - lemme get the 2nd vaccine first…
Today was my first day back with her virtually. She def noticed the weight loss. I feel like I have more energy cause I could do more jumping jacks with so much weight off but I lost ALL my muscle is seems like and doing planks and other things where I’m lifting myself with my own muscle that I’m weak as a kitten.
I hate exercise. But I know I need this and she is a great trainer. She has other clients as well cause she does things virtually. She works with what I have. Sometimes I’m exercising with a gallon of water cause I don’t have real weights and stuff. But I did tell her after my 2nd shot I’l venture into stores and buy stuff. She even offered to buy me stuff and drop it off (I’ll venmo her) But a lot of her training is using your own body weight - esp for me who’s arms and legs are literally heavy enough on their own..
I think she’s $25 for a 45 min session? Really cheap in my opinion. I’ll share her fb with anyone that’s truly interested. I actually just got her a new client recently. A local person on FB said they were looking for a trainer who wasn’t afraid to train in person and I offered my trainer’s name and they actually booked with her! I hope it turns into something long term.

Seriously? Yeah!! Totally share her info! I just had emergency surgery so no exercise for a month but that is totally affordable!
