I thought I’d lose more with how my appetite dropped during my period but I keep forgetting that starvation is not the answer.
Although I am completely honest when I say that I just haven’t felt hungry. I’ve eaten about 400 - 500 cals a day due to my period and it’s pretty much just protein shakes. It took me 2 days to ear a veggie lasagna TV dinner. But I assume as long as I’m getting in my liquids and protein I’m not “unhealthy”.
I’m conflicted with being happy I don’t have an appetite - because as a morbidly obese person, it’s all I’ve ever wanted - but also eating so I don’t stall the weight loss.
Yesterday I hung out with my family and they have tons of cookies and chips around the house. And months before I would partake in everything. If someone opened a snack, I was eating it AND when they left the room I was DOUBLE eating it because I just wanted SO MUCH. But since the surgery I haven’t touched a thing. I don’t even think about. I see it there and I just don’t have the motivation to get it.
And for dinner they made an asian type meal with rice. They do a lot of pasta and rice. And months ago, the same thing - I’d have 2 plates and maybe even sneak more spoonfuls when no one was watching. Yesterday they wanted me to join them in dinner and I said IF I finish the protein shake I brought and I’m STILL hungry, I’ll have a little rice. But it took me a while to drink the shake and I had no urge to eat their meal after I was done.
Yesterday I wore a jacket that didn’t fit last year. I was very excited and my family oooh’d and aah’d the jacket because it seemed new to them cause I hadn’t worn it in so long.
