That’s right it’s been 1 month since my surgery.

Ok here goes:

---------May 24 285lbs-Jan 3 264lbs-Jan 18 264lbs-Total Loss
Chest—51 in-----------50 in--------48 in------- -2 in
Waist—54 in-----------54 in--------47 in------- -7 in
Hips—60in-----------55 in--------55 in------- -5 in
Thigh—?--------------32 in--------32 in
Arms—?--------------21 in--------21 in
Neck----18-------------18 in--------18 in
------------------------------------------------ -14 in lost!

I’m sorry the chart is so fucked up. I dunno how to make a chart in here.

May 24 2019 is the earliest recorded time I ever took my measurements. Maybe for my trainer, not for the surgery. I was 285lbs then but my highest weight was I think 296 and I didn’t take measurements at that weight. I dunno why I didn’t take thigh and arm measurements in 2019.

And on top of all that _ can now move up from 600 to 800 cals a day and I can have firmer things like string cheese and cooked veggies. I think the only thing else they don’t want me to have is fruit cause of the sugar. I’ll be allowed fruit around valentine’s day but I’m not really a fruit fan so it doesn’t matter…

Technically I’ve been stepping over this line anyway (not with fruit but with firmer foods like paneer, a veggie burger, fries) but not eating anything super hard, crunchy or dry.

Even yesterday we ordered Indian but I only had a paneer (cheese) tikka masala without any naan bread or rice.

I still wanted it of course but I prob ate a cup of the meal = 3 pieces of paneer and a lot more of the sauce and I was bursting at the seams. If I had the rice or bread I would have been full much faster. And since carbs are supposedly “less filling” in the long run cause it doesn’t have protein, it would cause me to eat more later in the day and therefore overeat.

It’s actually not been so hard to stay away from bread, rice, and pasta ONLY because I can’t fit large amounts of food in anymore. If I focus on eating the protein part of the meal first I get full before I can even touch the carbs side dish. Before I would count on a large amount of bread, rice, and pasta to even feel full.

Some new things I’ve got in the fridge are tofu and cauliflower rice. Neither of these are new to me, just new to this year since I haven’t eaten either since the surgery.

I have another check up with my doc next week and I’m worried that he’s going to think I’m unsuccessful because the scale isn’t moving but at least I’ll be able to tell him that I’ve lost 14 inches - and that isn’t even from the highest weight he saw me at.

That is totally AWESOME! You have just inspired me to actually take some measurements. I get so frustrated with the lack of weight loss, but it is more about toning and how I feel like I look, isn't it? Way to go! I'm sure your doctor will be very happy with your progress even with the lack of movement on the scale.

Yes, I'm glad I took the measurements. Many of people last week told me the inches would move even if the scale doesn't. I can't even explain the super weird body but they were right!
