This is an Easter story that we as "girls" in the family took seriously. Every Easter Eve along with watching the "10 Commandents" ( which I had to take a nap for because it lasted a hair under 5 hours) we colored eggs. Lots of them. We had alot of family members including pets. So we got out our crayola crayons and vinegar and 2 or 3 packages of Paas color tabs and went for it with gusto. We made eggs for everyone. By the time we were done our fingers were black. We never use the lil wire thingabob that was included it never worked well anyway. On easter sunday we had to wear white gloves to cover up our black fingers from all the ink. Every year on monday my Dad would take one egg that each of us made to work for the " Best Colored Egg Contest" and every single year we won! He would give us each $ and we thought we were all that and a bag of chips. Years later when I was in my early 20's Dad finally told the truth and said there was never a contest for the colored eggs. What a sweet Dad to do that for his kids. I miss him so. His birthday is the 22 of this month. Mom passed a way on the 25'th of this month. Ugh. We had a big dinner than the rest of the day chilled. Me as a child never really cared for the chocolate easter bunny. We use to cover them in foil and put them in the freezer then in June put them in the trash. My fav to this day is chocolate malt easter eggs but the flavor has become so artificial that it no longer remains on my list of easter candy. Actually no candy reminds me of easter candy. We always hated peeps and jelly beans not so much. Blah. So with tom. being easter and me taking care of 2 clients - the Lil Lady and Gay Paul I am done by 12:30. Then I am going up my new job an see how long it takes to get there from where Paul is at. He is the half way point. Then come home an chill. May or may not go to a gig downtown...we will see. I did do alot of straightening up but still more to go. Basically just the guest room and organize it and go from there. But from here I am done. Good night to all to all a good night.
