I Belong To You in 2020 - public

A couple years ago, after my ex committed suicide and another ex broke up with my drunk cancerous ass and ghosted me, I took a long drive alone through the north side of Lake Superior and up towards Ely, Minnesota, where my parents and brothers were enjoying a late fall vacation. I played Brandi Carlile on repeat for hours through northern Wisconsin, Spooner, Duluth and up along the lake where I stopped on about twelve beaches. I can’t wait for a time where I can do that again, alone. Until then though, every time I hear songs by her I think of a time where I thought I could be happy again.
