It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. - Jiddu Krishnamurti

I was a little unhinged yesterday. I lashed out all over my socials. Another man was shot resisting arrest so we’re back to the #DefundThePolice. A man who was a convicted child molester. The party with the #MeToo has Bill Clinton giving ultimatums about how to behave in the Whitehouse. The party with the #DefundThePolice selected Cop Kamala Harris, a savage prosecutor to run as Vice President. The party with the #BLM has the man who signed the Crime Bill that led to these police brutalities and to the disproportionate prison sentences for black Americans running for POTUS. Like, why can’t people see that their emotions are being hijacked to affect your sensemaking and choice-making? They’re using confirmation biases to do it and everybody just eats it up and asks for more. All you have to do is try and represent your opinions with facts and not more opinions. The whole reason I left the left is because I tired to represent my political views but couldn’t. The facts supported a different view and so I did something nobody else seems to be able to do. I changed my fucking mind. BOOM! I’m a compulsive thinker now. I love a full-bodied opinion. In fact, I can process and hold multiple viewpoints at once like a normal human adult.

Jenson, my friend in Cambridge, made a post for people to challenge him about “black on black crime”. He thinks that is a dangerous myth. I took the bait and he told me to just Google it… well split my dick and call me Caitlyn he’s scared to go at it with me again. I’m going to do it. I’ll Google it. The algorithms are going to put what I’m supposed to see in the front. I’ll sift through the articles that are just opinion pieces presented as facts and I’ll eventually find something with some data but it will be misrepresented but I already know where to look but I just want to show him that he is reading fake news. I predict that this is how it will go, me showing him a full-bodied opinion. I’ll show him the facts and since that will go against his fundamental belief that white people are evil he will experience cognitive dissonance and just attack my character, morality and the usual lefty stuff. Ghost me, abandon me because opposing views are fascism now. He’ll do anything but accept the facts over his feelings. Heaven forbid we change our minds when an argument is better than yours. At least come back with a better one.

The post that turned my family on me yesterday was about people needing a higher concept of Personal Responsibility if they believe that guns shoot people and not shooters. If they believe that drugs ruin lives and not the addicts. That triggered them because addiction has been a problem in my family and I didn’t let myself become the uncool kid by saying no to drugs just so I can feel sorry for those who suffer from the consequences of their choices. I do act better than them because I took a higher path and they made fun of me for it. No one’s laughing now. I don’t care if my choices make them insecure. I am no longer pretending that it isn’t okay to not feel sorry for people who suck at making good choices. I get it, nobody cares enough but the real problem is that you don’t care enough. Life is tough, you’re tougher. Just make better choices. Nobody is coming along to make you get your shit together. No god, no government, no one! I believe in the human spirit and enabling narcissism by giving them maximum attention whenever they fuck up is not useful. You need to care about what other people are going through and respect their feelings they say. That is the fundemnatl belief that the left seems to have. That we are all supposed to be caring about each other. Well, no! I don’t. Not legally and not literally. I do care but in my own way and that is not by making people comfortable when they fuck up. It takes growth to heal and nothing grows in comfort zones. I am not a there there and hug it out kind of friend. I’m a it’s not the content in your life that is fucking you up it is the context so let’s start there! I don’t do self-pity parties anymore. That is the first lesson we learn in life, that we get maximum attention when we’re “sick”. Now we have an emotionally incontinent society that thinks an election is going to give them everything they need because they have no cerebral constitution when it comes to sensemaking. This article says that Trump is racist because 30 years ago somebody said so and wow this is another holocaust man.

Long story short, my patience is as thin as I am and I hit a breaking point. I’m not going to coddle the chronically offended or be blamed for their insecurities and poor choice making. Almost all of our problems can be fixed with two simple words: Personal Responsibility. Your ability to respond is infinite, your capacity to respond isn’t. That capacity in which you can respond will shrink in a socialist, communist government and that is why I am on the Trump train. Communism does not work, it has never worked and it will never work. People are not perfectible. Stop buying the victimhood that the left is selling and take your power back. You’re tougher than your problems.
