25 in addressing the public

no one can be known
and i’m alone
and no one’s watching
if i hoped someone would see me as i go
it couldn’t make a difference

revolving door of misaligned reflections
my imperfections
pick one
and i could cry from knowing that you’re all
my best intentions, rendered

in disappointing flesh and hollow bones
and clocks with ticking sounds
i once believed beat for me
but they don’t
they beat for no one

and it’s cold atop the cliffs of realization
perpetration of my
inclement clemency
all is forgiven, and was it sinning
if i’m alone and no one’s watching
