You Don't Control the Show in Poetry

The heroes and legends are dead
And you still repeat
The words they’ve said
As it echoes in your head
And you walk over their graves
As if they never lived

You were told
What to believe
For authority
Forces you to see
The images they’ve sold
And the mirror, they keep
Under control
So you don’t see the deception
And lose your perception

I must be insane
Because I don’t obey
A world founded
By dipshits
And you know who you are
The ones that hide their name
So they don’t see the light of day
That makes them decay
Soaking up their fame

There is a struggle
For power and control
Internally and externally
And the mirrors will crack
Bleeding the pain
That we are afraid to face
Because conflict is the horror
We avoid
Then you lose control
And are no longer
The one that controls the hate show
