Earth got lucky being just the right distance from the sun to both freeze and melt water at the same time- riding that line somewhere between the equator and the poles; between hot sand and cool water.

We lay on the sand to warm, we get in the water to cool, we repeat. The act of transitioning from one side of a line to the other- and back again- puts the act into something cyclical. A loop. Summer to winter, and winter to summer, by way of spring and autumn. Careful to careless, and careless to careful, by way of drink and sleep.

What else is there to do but depart and arrive?
There is no staying.
