I was in a rush this morning and I accidentally published an unfinished private entry. At least the content wasn’t too embarrassing. I caught myself trying to make excuses to avoid doing some things and then just bolted out of the house to get them done.

Yesterday I was wondering about the influencers that I admire and that I follow. Where are they on the political compass? They never bring up politics. Taylor Swift never spoke about politics and received so much heat for that because it was assumed that she was republican. That turned out to be untrue. The influencers I like are more about New Age stuff and I was watching a Livestream between two of them and it became clear to me that they would definitely be more on the conservative side because identity politics is not a game for the “enlightened”. We are not our bodies. They’re about empowering individuals and letting go of the toxic victim mentality so socialism doesn’t really fit. We don’t trust our governments and so we like them small. I only bring this up because of what is happening to Doja Cat. If you don’t know who she is then I’m jealous. She’s a rapper who is currently being cancelled. Her crime? Video chatting with conservatives. Leftists were quick to slut-shame her and accuse her of siding with fascist, homophobic, white supremacists etc. Reminds me of the US 2016 election when the leftists were constantly saying don’t judge Hilary by the behaviour of her husband! Then were quick to slut-shame the first lady once Trump got elected. Because nobody maintains double standards more than a social justice warrior.

To win the culture war conservatives have to speak up. It’s so hard because it is so scary. The leftist mob does not waste a second or a moment to bring you down. They immediately assume you’re anti-everything. Suddenly everything you utter is hate speech as they call you names and throw violent tantrums send death threats. Leftists do not like free speech or diversity of opinion.

I think social media gave millennials an unhealthy need for validation. I read an article about Gen Z and TikTok and how they’re correcting the political correctness that the millennials created. TikTok is not a safe space for millennials because Gen Z doesn’t care about triggering the chronically offended in a fifteen-second video.

I’ll share my political beliefs once I have them more or less sorted out. Just like when I came out as vegan I had to prepare to defend myself with sourced facts. I am enjoying this journey more than I thought I would though. I’m not hiding any evil beliefs or anything. I believe in structure and strong values and I’m obviously more progressive than the alt-right. Anyway, it’s another fine day in quarantine. I should go do something productive.

I assume Canuckian politics isn't the shitshow your southern neighbours is, right?

I am trying to convince the New Zealand PM to run our country too and throw our mob out.
