Krystal, William and Rocky’s characters got up at a decent time and began their journey to look for Steelhand Hall. William quickly found that the map Delg had given him as to his idea of where they would find a refinery was not accurate. Not long into the trek Krystal saw that the trees mad a “V” path. That the older trees seemed to be on the outer edges and young saplings near the middle. William and Krystal felt the need to throw rocks and sticks at the saplings thinking they might be dangerous. Nothing happened and assuming this used to be a cleared path they followed the saplings.

Occasionally they would hear Ogres and one time they actually hid from them but mostly they harrowed through killing the ogres that seemed to keep them from their search. At one point the path came to an end in what seemed like what would have been a clearing. Even smaller saplings were next to an 8ft high stump. William attacked the stump and knocked off dirt and grim, some foliage to discover a green rock beneath. He then continued to hit it until he could tell that it was an 8ft high statue of a dwarf wearing merchant clothing but he couldn’t tell if it was a hill dwarf or a mountain dwarf. The statue was solid emerald and seemed to go into the ground. The statue with it’s arms folded did not appear to be suggesting any particular direction.

William and Rocky thought it might be the top to something below or a way to open a secret passage. William spent a few moments pulling on every protruding part of the statue, molesting it to his hearts content. Then he decided that he was going to dig around it to wee where it goes. Krystal let him do that for about 10 mins (game time, not real life) before saying that she was heading off down the path again. At the statue the path split in 2 directions, they had chosen to go to the right.

More ogres.... more dead ogres and they came upon a tree. A pine among oaks and maples. They inspected it closely and saw that some time ago a message was written in dwarven.... a simple “3 days”. They decided to camp here for the night .....
