The Lesser of Two Evils in Life After 60

A no-win situation. I have been there more times than I like to admit. And lately, it has been several days (maybe weeks). My latest trip involves, like many my age, health and medications. I swear no one told me getting old was going to be such a challenge. I thought the bad years were behind me.
Case in point. I have an extra heartbeat in the lower chamber. Sometimes it feels like an electrical shock in my chest. Let’s treat it with a new drug. Sounds great. Until the pharmacy calls your cardiologist and says it will interact with one of your drugs. And then you actually find out it will interact badly with 4 of them.
So, I guess I decide if I want my heart to work correctly and let the rest go. Sorta like there are three people and only two parachutes!
But I am alive and for that I am grateful. Have a great day folks.
