2020: The Ginger-iest Year Yet! in These Foolish Things

And now a look at the year ahead. In addition to looking back at the last decade, I want to look forward to 2020 and what the possibilities are. I know it’s time to take actual steps and not just place wishes and fantasies out into the atmosphere.

Here are some excerpts from Astrology.com for Scorpio (I’ve replaced the mumbo jumbo that I really don’t understand about the planets - does that even matter?) and just left the effect of what’s meaningful to me, according to the stars:

  • You’re wise enough to know that true happiness won’t be found “out there.” It’s an inside job— [the star alignment will] empower you to do the work.

  • The stars will teach you to take more responsibility for your thoughts and words, being mindful of their power to create or destroy [I find this one to be VERY interesting - I need to be very cognizant of the words I speak out loud!]

  • It’s time to harness the power of positive thinking—not by denying or repressing unpleasant emotions, but by consciously choosing to see them in a different light.

  • Throughout the year, [planetary stuff] helps to unlock intuitive, creative solutions to problems your intellect alone has failed to crack. One of these may be how to relate to family members, or anyone else you feel “stuck with” in life. You may never fully understand each other, but chances are, you’ve got a lot to teach each other about life and love [I read this to be about my direct family and maybe work peeps]

What I’m getting out of this is to approach people and life in a slightly different light. As you might know, I do tend to look at things in a positive light - at least as much as I can - but maybe I need to do even more of this and actually DO something with this positivity.

As far as GOALS for 2020, I have them written down and I’m refining them with actual measurable STEPS I need to take to achieve them. Sometimes that’s what’s lacking are the critical progress guideposts, so I’m finalizing them. I may or may not share them fully in this journal - I’m still figuring that part out. I’ll keep you posted.

The gist of my overall goals however, is pretty straightforward:

  • Morph my career into something more meaningful
  • Cultivate a loving significant partnership/relationship
  • Work on health via a plant-forward diet and exercise

I have things to write about regarding the holidays and what I did for New Year’s Eve, etc. but I wanted to put this out there first as the first entry of 2020.

I wish all of Prosebox a happy and healthy New Year!

Great idea, to think just as hard about the steps needed for the journey rather than just the end-result goal! I never read my horoscope, but maybe I should for the year ahead.

Happy New Year!

Thank you!!

That’s a good point about the steps - sometimes the goal is overwhelming in itself but when you see the steps needed to get there, it becomes much more feasible!

Exactly! Baby steps!

I hope all three of your goals come true in 2020!

I think this is very wise. You need a definite plan to reach a goal .
