Our Christmas has been good, but it’s not over yet. We have one more celebration with my mom’s extended family on Wednesday, then I think we’re done.
We hosted Christmas for my mom, her fiance, my brother and his gf on Sunday, because my brother and his gf are both having medical issues that don’t allow them to travel. I really enjoy hosting get-togethers, so it’s fine with me.
I got a TON of cat-related stuff for Christmas! I’m embracing my crazy-cat lady life… especially…because…in a couple of weeks, we’re welcoming another fur baby into our home! :)
To make a long story short, the lady who fostered both Marv & Jadzia (our two most recent cats) had a litter of itty bitty babies at an adoption event at my store about a month ago. I applied for our little girl, who we’re naming Blanche. She had to weigh 2 lbs before being spayed and then adopted out. We were hoping she’d be home by Christmas, but she was slow to gain weight and ended up having a bacterial infection of some sort. Her spay date got pushed back to Jan. 13th. WELL tonight her foster mom sent me some photos of her, and said she’s really healthy and they’re trying to push her spay date up so she can hopefully come home sooner! She also said she’s a sassy little diva, which makes me SOOOO happy! Both of our other girls are divas and I absolutely love it!
Fingers crossed that she’ll get to come home soon!
Raj had his annual check up today, and the vet literally said that he is “not aging”…like he appears much younger than he is health-wise. Hips and joints are still great!
I’m on an 8 day stay-cation currently.
I got my Medusa pierced today! I’ve been wanting it for years but keep putting it off.
Holy FUCK that shit hurt! My pain tolerance definitely isn’t what it used to be, but I swear this was the most painful piercing I’ve gotten! The pain is dull now. It just feels weird. Counting down the weeks til I can put a shorter bar in!
In my free time, I work on my wax melts!
My first craft show went SO well, so I’m looking into doing another in the spring.
It’s crazy to think…I AM A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER! That’s wild!
