Let you in. in 2019

For what ever reason I let my sheltered heart become vulnerable for just once. I opened up, I let you in. You weren’t familiar to me, not some one I knew for years. Only knowing you for weeks. But I knew if I stayed sheltered for any longer I would end up just being lonely forever. So I took that risk. And I decided to let you in. Invited you into my life with an open mind. I was ready to give my all this time. You were my first real 100% attempt at love. I let you in. And you let me know that I was able to trust, I was able to risk hurt for genuine love, despite my hesitation before I knew that this new chance of being loved was well worth it. You embraced me and I embraced all of you.
