That was a good article . It was interesting how he went back and forth between the forest and his past .I am sure when he was talking about his work in the forest that it was somehow symbolic or connected to what he had been through or was experiencing . He is doing something very worthwhile but his life is very sad.

I enjoyed the article, was sad trying to keep up with how the writer's mind skipped back and forth to his time in war. How wearing it must be on him.

The descriptions of the trees and why he chose each were engaging and interesting and worth returning to. He clearly thinks the forest is healing him, or at least letting him abide as damaged. We are all damaged, but some of us more than others. It happens with time and the rawness of loss it seems. Thinking about you on this Thanksgiving Day and am so glad like picking specific trees in the forest you picked this place to write in.
