11/17/2019 Today I received a long hand-written letter from my college best friend. Well, I don’t know if she was my friend or I was just her admirer. I admired her an awful lot, quite like I admire you now. That actually gave me a frame of reference, so I’m most assured that my admiration for you is like that for her (and not like, you know, a crush on you or something (if you don’t check anymore, I might as well just say embarrassing stuffs, right?)). She is so much like you in a few key aspects that I admire. She even wrote this this time: “I know I had (and still have) a thirst to know who I am.” I bet the same can be said about you too, right? I’ll just say this much today. I’ll write more, hopefully.

Oh I’ll say a bit more. The reason why she wrote me a hand-written letter was because she’s now a nun in a convent in Lyon, France, and per her religious order, she couldn’t use a computer or internet. I think my original insistence on living a celibate life stemmed from my admiration for her, but then I met you, you who possessed those same qualities of humbleness, courage, and so, so much integrity, but you were also such a romantic. You gave me the role model I craved for.
