Since I have started my new journey with this journal, my podcast, and facebook I have developed a circle of Virtual friends. Yes, I consider you all friends. I communicate with you all more than the others. And one can never have too many friends.
Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If that is true why do I get out of bed each morning and go to work? Perhaps I am insane? I know that is taking the definition too extreme.
How many of us are happy with our lives? How many of us are on the career path we chose in high school? How many of us married, and are still married to our high school or college sweetheart? What really determines our happiness? Do you still think there is happily ever after? And off to the phones, we go. Caller, you are on the air.

I married my college sweetheart. He eventually had two affairs that I knew of. One with a woman and one with Vodka. Vodka killed him about 3 years after our divorce. And I never pursued the career path that I studied for, but I did use the knowledge I received in several jobs I had there after. Happiness, to me, is a state of mind. You can choose to be happy with where you are in life or you can moan, groan, claim victim, whine, cry etc because you are not where you thought you would be. Many of us ended up where we are because we did not get out of our comfort zone and take a chance. The happy ever after may not be the happy you thought you wanted in your youth. And the happy you have may be better than what you thought you would get.

I am sure there is a country song in there somewhere! And you are right, too many of us stayed in our comfort zone. So, it is true that Prince Charming is now just dependability and common sense? What many of us didn't expect, that wicked curve life threw us.
