Fucking love that song! I love when I find new music that is amazing. Amazing to me, at least.

So, today is Thanksgiving here in the states. While I think we should have a day to give thanks for what we have, (which should be every day, really) America really fucked the story up. Kinda reminds me of everything 45 says.

Why don’t they teach us the true story? Because goddess forbid if white people look bad in any way.

Here. This is a really good article. The Myths of the Thanksgiving Story and the Lasting Damage They Imbue

Obviously I was going to write more on this issue, but do you think I remember the stream of thoughts I had? Nope.

So read the article. It’s good.

See ya.

I disagree with the above noter simply because I don't see how they came up with this bullshit about thanksgiving is my mistake, I wasn't even around then. I guess by the same theory I'm responsible for people killing patients before research showed that the treatment protocols at the time were detrimental to the patient before I became a paramedic

That's the conflict I have within myself to a degree. I wrote about my conflict on Thanksgiving Day, but I may have make it for friends only.

Additionally, I know what was taught to me growing up. I've also done my own research and reading from historians that have done their own research. I love history, so I am constantly researching something. While my kiddos are 7, I tell a simple story version, I will teach them properly as time goes by. I will retell the proper story.

Today I hold Thanksgiving Day as a family day to gather and be thankful. I"m thankful every day, but when as many family members gather as possible for traditions, it's a special day.

Yeah, that's what I do. It's a day to be thankful. I don't have kids so no stories to tell them.

That's a great article! I'm adding that book to my reading list. :)
