Betting on the power of the Web is Paul McMann, founder of the Collegiate Professional Basketball League. Three Internet firms - Lycos Inc., AcuNet.net and broadcast.com - have signed deals in excess of $1 million apiece to buy team naming rights. Talks with a fourth, Spree.com, are ongoing.
