Music in Life After 60

Perhaps one of the more unusual things I am thankful for is music. I have loved music ever since I can remember. My mom used to tell me when I was a child she knew if I was sick by the fact I was not singing. I miss my mom and those days. I am thankful that out of all the moms in the world God chose her to be mine.
Music can transport me back to another place and time when life was simple or it can break my heart and cause me to cry like a baby. But life would be dull without it. And I also enjoy writing songs. It can be therapeutic for me.
When I am at work I am usually listening to music. Today I happen to be listening to Kenny Chesney. Music makes my day go by faster and just brings joy to me.
So if you’re feeling down and blue, find one of your favorite artists and listen to some music, perhaps from your teenage years and relive some of the great moments in your life.
