My daughter, Carrie, is constantly asking for "Elmo Show" which means she wants to watch one of the various Elmp DVD's we have. She loves anything Elmo so I decided a couple of weeks ago that her 3rd birthday party (in June) will be Elmo themed. I am so excited for her. I can't wait to see the look on her face when the house is decked out in Elmo! I love party planning and have already started planning it. Call me crazy because it is three months away but I figure if I buy a few things here and there, it won't be too much money at once. We live on a very tight budget so I am trying to make it as inexpensive as possible. My new favorite thing to do is go on Pinterest and look for ideas. Of course I can't afford to actually buy anything on Pinterest, but it is fun to find ideas. I am going to attempt to make most everything. Here are some ideas I have found:
- red plates with an elmo face
- cups with elmo's face
- a birthday banner
- party favors with a cute tag (goldfish and boxes of crayons)
I have already bought some red party supplies and bowls for chips and other snacks. I am thinking of having the following activities: making elmo, elmo coloring pages, pin the nose on Elmo, and also have some Elmo/Sesame Street books out. There will be about 6 kids with the oldest being 5. Let the planning begin!
