Heartbreak Hotel in Musings of a Teacher

I know that once you become a celebrity you "give" some of your personal life away. I get that. Big money comes with a cost and all that. But I'll never understand why the media seems to take such pleasure in blasting their heartbreaks all over the news. I've had my heart broken and I can't imagine not being able to go ANYWHERE without being reminded of it...from everybody. I can't imagine everybody thinking that that they are privileged to "what went wrong" and dissecting it. You messed up? Better put it on a magazine so that everybody can dish about it. Your husband is walking out or cheated on you? Well, we better not let you heal in peace--let's splash it everywhere!

I don't get it. But maybe that's why I never became more of a celebrity then some town theater shows and Dare commercials. I may not be rich and I may not have a "fast pased" exciting life but...It's a great life and it's all MINE.

Eh. Late night ramblings..
