Do you ever feel like nobody’s there? Or you feel like everyone around you is just focused on everything but you? Like you don’t want to be in the center of attention, but you want someone to notice your pain, but you also don’t want to ask for someone to see, and you don’t want to bother people with your problems. You don’t want to have to ask for them to pay attention, and you don’t want to ruin their day, so you keep on going with your day in pain and wanting it to stop hurting. You wish every second that someone would ask you to talk to them, but no one does. You want to tell everyone what’s wrong, but you don’t think anyone cares. You keep your fake smile and your fake laugh, and you walk the halls with your head up, hoping someone will see the pain in your eyes, but as the day goes by, nobody notices, and you get to the last class of the day. The bell is about to ring, and you wonder… how do people say they love me and are my best friend but can’t see that I’m in pain. Even when I flat out say I’m in pain, all people say is “I’m sorry” or “It could be worse.” I know it could be worse, any situation can be worse, but right now I don’t want to hear that I wish to hear “I’m here for you” or “are you okay” I miss having people here for me. I keep thinking maybe I can help myself and take care of it, but as the days go by, I get worse and worse. I’m not sure what it is, I hate to use the word depression because people misuse that word a lot. Anyone can say they are depressed, some people are, and some people think it’s cool to get extra attention, and some people make fun of the people who have serious mental illnesses. I would rather say I’m sad a lot. I’ve been told I’m depressed, but you can’t consider yourself depressed because everyone thinks they know more than your doctor and have to put their opinion into it. Now, this ended up being longer than I planned, so I’ll end it here. Just know even if you feel like your fighting the biggest battle in the world all alone, there are other people just like you, and you’re never alone.
