Day 2 of quitting smoking and what do you know? Im on my period as well....

Cramps like crazy.

My medicine regiment as well is pretty hardcore for me for my cold and possible underlying lung disease or asthma.

2 diff puffers

2 puffs

4 times a day

A steroid to break up the shit that is in my chest

Antibiotics for my cold chest infection. 2 ttimes a daayy

Im just so drained and tired.

Its hard right now to stay quit but not.

Because i am so sick and this health scare makes its easy because my smoking is my direct worry so I cant really rationlize smoking unless I want to get sicker and delay healing of the initial cold. So thats good.

But it is hard. When a sad mad scared feeling comes up I feel like reaching for a cigg. But I dont have any I threw them out. And threw out my ash tray too.

I went to the store and got some peppermint tea chocolate bar (pms cravings and smoke cravings) and some straws to cut up in cigg size lengths.

Ive quit before for a year wayyyy back when I was 18 so I know some things I used and that work.

I bought gum no nicorette just normal. Its ok I am not like chewing hard core but its there for me if I need it.

So yeah its evening time. I am physically feeling better coughing less. Less out of breath .

I heard the 3rd day is one of the hardest. So i am sort of anticipating that but also saying others experiences are not exactly going to be mine

Its good to quit on my period too because it almost feels like it will be like just easy going more from here considering how much I have pmdd a severe form of pmd to begin with and awful cramps.

I keep saying if I can get through this week I can get through anything!

I love your spirit and your attitude about this, it honestly gives me soo much inspiration. I know it won't always be easy to be strong like this, so I'm fully prepared to jump on the agony train with you as we navigate this quitting. Tomorrow will be my last day smoking, I've recorded it in my journal already so... It's happening! Soon I will be where you are and we can bitch together. Yes!
