I've just recently heard about this challenge, 100 Days of Happiness, and I feel like I want to join in :) I'm tired of this pessimistic attitude I have towards winter... And others around me have it too so it's hard to ignore. But just maybe I can do something about it and think of at least ONE thing that makes me happy each day!
Let me start with today... We got a fresh sprinkling of snow again today. I could have grumbled about it but bit my tongue. It really did look pretty! The sun was shining and the way it made the snow shimmer was just beautiful! Let me show you what I mean :)Go here! I think I need to heed my own advice sometimes... Often my older son whines and tells me "Today is going to be the worst day ever, I just know it", just because things aren't going his way, and I tell him that it all depends on his attitude. Sure, we can't control the things that happen to us, but we CAN control how we react to them. If I let a rude comment made to me get to me, I will have a crumby day. But if I choose to shrug it off, I can enjoy the rest of my day. Same with winter- me and winter aren't really buddies, and I've really been letting winter drag me down, but that stops now!! Sorry, not going to let stinky old winter stop me from enjoying my life anymore!
