Happy Wednesday!
I got a text from Mr. Blushington, aka. The Colorful Cock (2 entries back), aka. Scorpio the Bull, aka. Charlie Brown last night. Yes, the “Charlie Brown” is a new one, but when I looked at his text I realized that his real name actually rhymes with Charlie Brown. And I laughed and laughed that I’d finally figured that one out!
He asked me if I wanted to do lunch today. Remember, we work about 2 miles from each other and it would be super easy for us to grab a bite together.
Unfortunately, I don’t wanna! For oh so many reasons.
So I told him no and he sent back a kissy face emoji? I will never figure some people out. Hoping that’s the last time I hear from him.
I do have a Bumble date tonight that was made yesterday, so I’m somewhat looking forward to that. Not feeling the love right now. Not really excited about it at all, but you just never know, do you?
Meanwhile, I do miss Doc D tremendously, but I’m not contacting him or otherwise poking that bear. It ridiculous because we never really had “anything” to miss, but I think it’s also the comfort of knowing that I had a medical professional at my beck and call whenever I was feeling concerned about my injury and subsequent little ticks and tingles. It was nice and felt safe. I miss that.
I’m on my own now. Again. I suppose it’s time.
Getting even more excited about my road trip, though. I’ve created a roadtrip playlist and I need to add more songs to it, but it’s starting to shape up nicely…and Apple music has some great stations. I’ve gotten some good tips on new podcasts to listen to as well. Funny, my trip is only 3 ½ hours long, but it’s like I’m planning for a 20-hour drive or something. Heh.
And honestly, it’s going to be a very quiet trip. I’m bringing wine and books and hope to just settle into my little container with my pup. We may not even get out much at all…though there are a few super cool joints I’d like to check out. Just found some live music at a winery close to the container!
I told you I’m staying in a shipping container, didn’t I?
I am also curious to see who my “container mates” will be - I note that the place is fully booked up over Labor Day weekend, so I’m kind of excited to see who’s going to be around.
Anyway. Better get back at it for my Wednesday. I have a big meeting later this morning and need to do a little prep and then I have manual labor this afternoon in the warehouse. Ugh. But always good to give the brain a little shift at that time anyway.
Have I told you lately how much I love you? I owe you all SO MANY NOTES!! Especially you, Elaine! I want in on your wedding dress shopping!!
