Weight loss, food, and some good news. in 2013

I just made THE BEST lunch.

I baked a loaf of gluten free bread this morning, so I threw some of that on my little mini countertop grill with sliced tomato and dairy free cheese substitute and made a grilled tomato/cheese. It was SO GOOD.

I have to say, with everything we have going on right now and how downright horrible things are, the ONE good thing is that i'm losing weight again.

At my heaviest point in Liam's pregnancy, i was up to 215. I'm happy to say that today i finally hit 185.0. I also tried on my size 12 & 14 American Eagle jeans (they're the only jeans i really like at all) and they finally FIT. I can pull them up and button them. Though, I cannot breathe. So, baby steps. A few more pounds and they will fit better... But the 16's i wear are HUGE on me. :(

I can honestly say that i DO NOT count ANY calories and i have not worked out for a single minute since i found out i was pregnant with Liam. The best change and difference so far was obviously when i spent a few months eating paleo and lost 20 lbs FAST. Then i plateau'd and stayed that way for a WHILE. Now that i've cut out MOST gluten and MOST dairy, i'm down a total of 30 lbs. Ultimately, i'd like to get back where i was on my wedding day -- 150lbs. In college i was 135, and that'd be nice, but i'd take 150.

I think i will start a separate Prose book for all my different foods and recipes and homemade stuff. :) I'm not cute or fashionable nor do i own nice clothes to write about, but i can grow food, cook, & bake from scratch!

Everything else is still the same. I handed my resume in to my friend yesterday, who's thinking i may be able to skip the lesser paying job if they're hiring on management right now. He's giving the resume to someone today and will follow up on Tuesday, so i should hear from him early next week. At that point, i'll get an interview, fill out an application, and take it from there. He said he'd sit with me to go over interview questions and just basically guide me ;) I have TEN YEARS experience, so i'm not worried. But once you get hired on, you have to start training classes -- 6 to 8 WEEKS of them. Quite possibly out of state --- i'd be in a hotel and only come home on weekends. The thought of that is KILLING me, being away from my babies, considering i don't even leave them for more than 2 or 3 hours and i only leave them with Josh. We've gone out twice without them. TWICE. Yikes.

Today Josh is down doing sidework at a garage for this guy he used to work for last year for side cash. It's funny, we haven't heard from him in a year, and then all of a sudden, when we need it the MOST, he texted Josh yesterday asking if he was interested in some work. So Josh has been there all day hoping to pull in a couple hundred bucks to put towards the mortgage. We thought we had a lead on selling the scooter we have laying around in the garage, we'd like to sell it for 1k, and that would be SO GOOD right now, but the person hasn't gotten back so i guess they aren't interested :(

2 of my listings on ebay have bidders, and now i'm putting all of my clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc on Poshmark instead of ebay. :) I listed my old Burberry string bikini, it's worth $125 and who am i kidding -- i will never wear a bikini again!

So while things aren't GOOD, there are prospects of better things to come... I just keep praying they'll come sooner rather than later.
