So apparently I’m awful at keeping anything up to date.

New things:

I passed my ACC! My job is a clinical coder. You’re not going to know what that is, but if you’re interested or fancy being bored have a google. I enjoy it, I find it interesting, but I know I’m in the minority. So now I’m fully qualified & am able to go anywhere in the world to work (because you know, universal!)

We’ve reduced our house! So we want to move. The house has been up since the end of January, but as I’m sure everyone knows our economy is shit because of brexit, no one wants to buy incase the economy tanks. So we’ve decided to reduce it by 10k (making it an absolute steal just saying) & if we don’t get any interest (or a general election happens) we’ll take it down. Save money (for my next new thing) then once we’ve saved enough put it back up next year. & hopefully the economy will be better. Although we have Boris bloody Johnson so who knows at this point.

I’m engaged! He took me to Windsor, swanky hotel on the river Thames, champagne reception & all that. Took me for a walk in a forest, & dropped down on one knee. It was perfect, just us, no spectacle, no people, absolutely private.
Without giving me a moment to catch my breath & take everything in he then drops the news that to celebrate, we’re going to Texas for two week.

Texas is literally my favourite place. We went a couple years back when we did our 6 weeks east coast to west coast road trip. We stayed in swanky places, watched a shit ton of baseball (my favourite sport, because wtf even is football?) Texas Rangers are my boo’s. Especially Joey Gallo.

We spent two magical weeks tubing, ranching & drinking. We spoke wedding & life after & it was basically the best time of my life.

I’ve been back for almost two weeks now, & the reality of planning a wedding is terrifying. Both the planning side & the financial side. I’m all up for just going to a registry office next week & doing it just the two of us, but my man isn’t. He wants a wedding. He wants his friends & family there, he wants to celebrate our relationship. Which is lovely really. I figure the compromise is destination wedding right? Antigua anyone? That way we’ll have a limited guest list (which I want) but it’ll be our close family & friends (which Carl wants).

I think that’s enough of an update for now. I’m sure it’ll be another month or so until I write again. So I hope everyone has a nice August.

Out. x
