Overexposed in These titles mean nothing.

The Keenan iris are in bloom right now. Gracie (I think) knocked some of them over so I should go and cut them and make a kitchen table bouquet.

I just picked this pic from a directory of photos from 2015. I think the others look better but I only had a thumbnail to look at so this is what you get. As you can tell I’ve lost interest in fooling around with pictures. My camera doesn’t work very well. Jim still used it some and there are some interesting pictures on it now but I don’t bother to transfer them to my computer so they aren’t available to post here.

I’ve lost most/all/a lot of my pictures due to my carelessness.

I have a book of photos by celebrities. Black and white pics taken on film with expensive cameras. Book is called Shooting Stars - clever title. In the stories that go along with the pictures there are a surprising number of lost photo accounts. Floods, fire, that kind of thing. So I suppose I am not alone in having an inaccessible past.

Jimmy Stewart is one of the photographers in the book. He would print all his photos as 8” by 10”s and have them mounted back to back and bound in books. He said he liked to leaf through them from time to time. I wonder what happened to those books of bound 8” by 10”s. I suppose they are still in existence. On someone’s shelf.

Here’s my book.

Regardless, they are beautiful and that can be seen.

Is that Grace Kelly on the cover of the book?

Yes.

I think I'd be okay if I lost most of my photos. I am in the process of buying a new computer and I need to get all my photos off this machine and into the cloud so I can get them back on the new machine. It would be very easy not to bother. I find it intriguing to think that here in the space I occupy are other people's photos floating in the air we breathe.

I like this photo...the left side of the flowers is sun soaked. Iris' are not as spectacular here as there are up north. It is a rare flower I can say that about.

Printed photos are a completely different experience from online. But Iv'e never had the guts to get a book of them printed up.

I've wondered what a printed volume(s) of OpenDiary with photos and notes would be like. It seemed so important (and was) to us at the time.
