My auntie stopped me in the store and told me she was almost out of the soap i made her a few months ago.
Ill be whipping up a batch of ( doterra brand) serenity oil and added clary sage to deal with her hot flashes. She was SO happy.
Im thinking orange vanilla,
Vanilla oatmeal
And hmm something else.

None of my new oil infusions are ready. Perhaps if i cooked them myself it would go faster But its also fun to do them slowly.

Merigold in sunflower, coconut and almond oil was todays start.

I shook everything good. The plantaine is turning green ,yay! The rose is turning orange ( orange roses) Yay. Everything looks good.
I only have a few more small jars left. I may have to run down and pick up bigger ones haha.

The one im having issue with is the mint in coconut oil. Its been too cold so the coconut oil isnt melting. think ill gather some more mint and do it in almond oil.

Note to self. Buy tape to write on, not the lids. Just sayin. you reuse jars : P

Tomorrow its going to be sunny and not pouring rain like today. I want to get lilac blossoms, wild rose blossoms, lupine and wild geranium blossoms!! More plantain and mint.
so uhh… i need more jars.

My lilacs are long past. I am looking for scented geraniums. I am going to look into some other mints too . I have lemon balm :-)

ours are blooming well here! But we live in Alaska :D
I saw a ton blooming all over around the grocery stores. They are all well landscaped. Im just going to snip a few branches here and there.

Lemon balm would be awesome!!! I would totally be all over that one.

I think Alaska and Illinois are switching weather . It should be Summer here but it’s proving to be elusive :-)

Oh! lol.
We have had a bit of rain this month. But we are due for 10 days of sun! Well mostly sun, there are often clouds. Its 75 and sunny with a breeze today. The husband is biking on the mountains. The kids are taking a break from outside stuff and im sitting with my spinning wheel and music!

I am wondering if I should start ark building :-)

ChainedChrysalis Deleted user ⋅ June 19, 2019

Oh man! hahaha. I believe it. Alaska is a rainforest. A lot of people dont realize we get rain from august through sept then it starts snowing in oct. And heck, and the time we rain in january too! haha. Its actually pretty miserable. So i understand. When everything is wet, nothing dries out. The mud puddles are deeper then during breakup!

Deleted user ChainedChrysalis ⋅ June 19, 2019

Since it’s been so wet I worry my plants are actually going to rot outside , the soil doesn’t get to dry out :-(

What I would give for ten days of sun !

ChainedChrysalis Deleted user ⋅ June 20, 2019

Well ill be missing it soon when the clouds come back. But for now, its sun over Denali and im going to soak it up! Every day ill spend time in the yard. I have roses to harvest, wool to spin, bunnies to groom, and kids to herd! Although my doggo does his job with them all. I set up in the grass near the horse, and just soak it up!
I hope it dries out for you soon! I know how terrible it is!
