Today I awoke without the dread of going to work.
There are days where I have such a dread of going to work I must medicate with a bit of Lorazepam to calm my nerves. Some mornings it is so bad I become physically ill, throwing up and suffering the heaves until I can settle down with medication. When I am like this I will still be sick and heaving when I arrive at work. It is terrible.
But this morning there was none of this dread. I was so upbeat and happy I felt like a scene from Snow White when she was walking in the forest with the blue birds singing around her.
Even my commute in was nice. Great music on Sirius XM, lite traffic, clear roads.
Once at work my office mates were not their usual crabby selves and the greatest thing of all was the Boss was off!
My work day was not bad, even when a secretary brushed me off. I pleasantly just walked away.
One site I was at did not have up to date records, so instead of writing them up and creating more paperwork and headaches for myself, I gave them a pass.
During my lunch break I went to the grocery and picked up a few things to save a stop on the way home. And then the drive home was not to terrible, even with road construction delays.
Once home I fed and played with my birds.
After changing out of my uniform I made a French Press full of clove flavored coffee which I have poured half & half in and then toppped with frothed heavy whipping cream. It is a rich, thick, sweet delicious treat.
Yes, this has been a good day!
