Day 7.... in Mental Rambling

Felt pretty good until right before lunch. I was promoted this week and start my new position tomorrow morning. Well, I had this job a few years ago so technically it’s not new. Anywho, an associate in this department worked in that department the last time I took over and quit because of me once because I tried to delegate more work on her than she felt she should have to do. That’s the only reason..... When she found out I got the position again she immediately started bitching to another manager and asked him to approve her days that she called in before I start tomorrow because she knew I wouldn’t approve them. After that my day was aggravating.
I dont know why I’m letting it get to me. She had an issue with being asked to do more because we were short staffed which wasnt my fault. Our GM at the time squeezed every penny and wouldn’t let me hire anyone. I dunno. I’m gonna do my job and if my associates can’t support me, their department and each other then I’ll replace them. Simple as that. Am I wrong??
